100% RECYCLED ECO-COTTON

What is Eco-cotton? Eco-cotton is a blend of reclaimed cotton fibers from discarded garment scraps combined with a small amount of nylon made from the incredible RPET process of recycling plastic (PET) bottles into fiber. Through a proprietary scrap fabric colour matching system there are no dyes or chemicals used in the process of creating such vibrant colours from what would otherwise be textile waste.

Washing Instructions:
Machine washing is fine but do not machine dry, just lay flat. Cotton stretches out a lot so after washing the hat it may feel tight, like when you first purchased it, but will stretch out quickly.

Source

Yarn: This hat is made from RCotton, a yarn milled in Spain by Ferre, a centuries old mill. Why Spain? Spain is home to the largest textile manufacturing factories in the world (Zara anyone?) and is a country that is decades ahead of any other country in recycling post-industrial and post-consumer textile waste produced by these factories. We purchase this yarn from their American partner mill, Hickory Throwing in North Carolina.

Production: Knit in Waterloo, NY by Upstate Stock's friends and knitting partners at Mozaic Organization; a not-for-profit employing, assisting, and providing services to thousands of disabled person in the Fingerlakes, NY area. The raw knit material is then shipped in rolls to Upstate Stock's Greenpoint, Brookyln sewing facility where it is cut, sewn, and finished by their lovely team.

Size & Fit
One Size
Length: 11-12" Inches (without fold)

Knit cotton is prone to stretch so if your hat feels a bit tight when you receive it, wearing it will quickly adjust it to your head. If you feel your hat starts to loosen too much over time, you can give it a hand-wash in warm water or machine wash in cold, lay it flat to dry, and it should spring right back. Cotton is a lighter material, so these hats are meant to be worn as transitional hats.

The watchcap is a style that's existed for well over 100 years, though it's most commonly associated with WWII US Navy personnel. A watchcap is a shorter hat, traditionally meant to be worn folded above the ears. However, you can also wear it unfolded, rolled, double-folded, etc.
